This beautiful hand turned yarn bowl is made from Canarywood. Each of my bowls are signed, numbered and dated (year). Bowl is finished with a friction polish while still on the lathe.

One of a kind Yarn Bowl featuring 1/2" hole with a curl slot to capture your yarn as you knit or crochet.

Bowl will be 7 1/2" to 8" in overall diameter with a height of 2 1/2" to 3" and an opening or throat of 6 3/4" to 7". Bowl has a curved design inside which will keep the yarn in the bowl.

Bowls pictured are examples of a Canarywood Yarn Bowl. The bowl you receive will vary in color and grain patterns.

Hook and yarn are not included in this sale, you are buying the yarn bowl only.

Canarywood (Centrolobium spp.) is an exotic wood that is yellow to orange in color, typically variegated with light to dark red streaking. Tree grows 65-100 feet tall with a 2-3 ft trunk diameter.
It has a medium to high luster. It can be somewhat variable in density, it is mostly a hard, heavy and strong wood. Works very easily with both hand and power tools and finishes very smoothly.
Uses include construction lumber, railroad cross ties, flooring, veneers, boat building, furniture, cabinetry, and turned items. An exceptional exotic wood from Latin America; Brazil, Bolivia.
