This beautiful hand turned crochet hook is made from Marblewood. It's shaped with a larger handle to relieve stress on the hand and wrist when crocheting. The hook has an Ergonomic shape that fits nicely in the hand.

Because this hook is handcrafted there will be variation in appearance, grain, size and color. While there are slight variation the basic Ergonomic shape is maintained. No two handcrafted hooks will be the same!

The growth range of the species to grow in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of Southeast Asia. Marblewood is variegated black and brown timber is actually part of the Ebony family of woods. Ebonies are generally thought of as black timbers. In reality some of the species have only a tiny pencil sized black zone and some of them are white, cream or yellow all through.
Marblewood is commonly referred to as Andaman Marblewood.
