Bowl number 7976 is a hand turned bowl made from super rare exotic Chittum Burl. Each of my bowls are signed, numbered and dated (year). They are finished with a friction polish that's applied while still on the lathe.
This bowl measures 5 3/8" across and is 1 3/4" high.
CHITTUM BURL - (Cotinus obovatus) is a native of North America. It's a small to medium tree. The flowers are clustered in a large, loose branching cluster with a fluffy grayish-buff appearance resembling a cloud of smoke over the plant giving it's name, Smoke Tree (American)
