These Mills are made from Teak Burl from Myanmar (Burma) Southeast Asia . Teak Burl is one of the most valuable woods in the world, possessing high strength and durability along with exceptional beauty.
The teak's leaves are the largest of any tree, possess a natural abrasiveness, and are used locally as sandpaper.
Heartwood is uniformly golden brown to rich brown with deep brown markings.
Grain is straight to wavy with a distinct oily feel and is characteristically scented.
The two mills stand about 6 1/2" tall and 2 3/4" wide.

These are similar but separate mills. As with all my turnings, they are done by hand. I don't use a duplicator on my lathe. By doing them by hand, this makes them similar, but not the same. There are subtle differences.
