Description

This beautiful hand turned crochet hook is made from Spalted Cross Cut Texas Pecan with your choice of wood ends and rings. The Pecan has been stabilized to strength and enhance the wood. The hooks are shaped with a larger handle to relieve stress on the hand and wrist when crocheting. They also have an Ergonomic shape that fits nicely in the hand.

Because this hook is handcrafted there will be variation in appearance, grain, size and color. While there are slight variation the basic Ergonomic shape is maintained. No two handcrafted hooks will be the same!


Pictures of finished hooks are examples of what you will receive. Numbered block are the block used when item is ordered. Outside appearance of block is not necessarily how the finished hook will appear.

Angle or Cross Cut refers to the direction of the grain to the cut of the blade. By cutting the wood this way the hook will show greater variance of patterns, color and some end grain compared to cutting with the grain.


Please note that blocks were moisten with alcohol to help show grain, simulates a finish.

This is my 5th purchase from Mr Nelson and I cannot say enough as how beautifully crafted these hooks are and how great these feel in my hands. I can crochet for longer period and my hands do not cramp. I own two other wood hooks, Candy Corn snd Black Cat, equally beautiful, but I love the grain in the spalted pecan and mesquite. It is a show piece!!!
